The government of Anambra State has declared a free transportation with the state. Anambra State Government Declares Free Transportation.
The government of the state made this announcement for the commuters, few hours ago, stating that the new declaration will start from December 1st 2019 to January 5th 2020.
Reports reaching us is that Dr Ifeoma Madukasi who is The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transport Company Of Anambra State, TRACAS, made this statement while speaking to the Press at the state’s head office in Awka.
According to reports, this new declaration is part of Governor Willie Obiano’s Administration’s efforts to curtail the effects of the high cost of transportation that usually comes with the Christmas and New Year seasons.
The routes designated for this new declaration include routes from Awka to Nnewi through Nkwo Nnewi Triangle and Awka to Oko and Ekwulobia to Onitsha. Onitsha to Ogbaru from local Government Area Heaquarters. Awka to Onitsha from the High way to Upper Iweka, routes from Awka to Onitsha through the Old Road, routes from Awka to Otuocha through Aguleri Junction and the route from Eke Awka to the Head Bridge.
Other routes include routes from Awka to Otuocha through Aguleri Junction and the route from Eke Awka to the Head Bridge.
We should recall that earlier this month, Governor Willie Obiano approved for the sum of 100 million naira to be donated to the victims of the fire that gutted the Ochanja market in Onitsha.
The fire claimed lives and properties worth millions of naira.
